Updates on the Boys

Now that Grant has adjusted to being back at school, he loves it. He comes home and tells me that he, “Played with Sophia,” pretty much every day. It is so cute. This Friday Paul and I are taking Grant to the Cardinals game. My mom and dad are also coming out for the weekend. Fun times.


Garrett had a pediatric checkup today. He weighed in at 14 lbs. 9 oz. When you have a baby like Garrett, his weight IS A HUGE ISSUE. He always has to be gaining well. The way he eats, he gains just fine ;) I also asked my pediatrician to pull up his last x-ray which I had not seen yet. It appeared to me that his left lung has expanded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I about had a heart attack when I saw it. I am going to call Dr. Yang tomorrow to inquire about it as he is the one who ordered the x-ray. Garrett still breathes fast; but I really thought that his breathing has seemed to slow here lately. I thought maybe it was just wishful thinking on my part. However after seeing the xray, I think I was right! Once I talk to the docs at Glennon I will let you all know if it has in fact expanded. From what I saw, it was a good size lung! I’m still in disbelief. I won’t officially ‘believe it’ until I hear it from the horses mouth. But I have seen A LOT of x-rays over the past few months. Enough that I pointed at the screen and said, “Is that lung tissue all the way down there?” And the doc said, “yes it is.”  I still want to talk to the specialists to make sure we are seeing what I think we are! But I THINK WE ARE!!!!!!!
