Grant Scores TWO Goals........(almost three!)

Still trying to figure out where this soccer talent has come from.  At Grant's game on Saturday (9/7/13), he scored TWO goals.  He almost had three, but the third actually hit the goal post and bounced out instead of in.  I was actually asked to assist on the sidelines at this particular game because the head coach was out of town leaving the assistant coach in charge.  After the game the other team's coach approached the assistant coach as we were packing up and said to her, "I just have to tell you that you have some unbelievably talented kids on your team.  I don't know whose he is, but that kid in the orange laces has pure raw soccer talent and needs to keep at it.  He is VERY good."  Yep, that would be my Grant.  I actually stood there dumbfounded and the assistant coach pointed at me and said, "He is hers."  I thanked their coach for the compliment.  My little soccer star; I was so proud of him.  More importantly than that.  He is the kid out there helping other kids up when they fall down.  Even ones from the other team.  I hope he always has such a kind heart.
