Family Portraits

We had some family portraits taken around the holidays this year. We had not had family pics taken since Grant was 6 weeks old. The only problem was trying to get Grant to smile when I was 'in the picture'.

Christmas at the Erwin House!

Grant was a pro at putting the ball in the hoop!!!! WHO KNEW HE COULD DO THAT??!!! (Paul was thrilled.)
Big surprise.........more toys. This one was from cousins Cal, Kimmy, Cari, & Cali.

Here is Grant's new toy box. Which is much needed after the past week.
Are these all for me?!
Time to go outside with Grandpa!

Christmas Day!

Santa came! Here is Grant in his reindeer pajamas.
I LOVE my new toys!

Who is having more fun? Paul or Grant?

Grant with Aunt Sarah.

I think I out-Christmased myself.

Christmas Eve 2008

Here is a typical baby moment. Grandpa Chuck is trying to get Grant to play with one of his new toys and Grant is playing with a left over wrapping paper roll......again.

Grant did enjoy this toy, the Go Baby Go. -- Big ticket item for his age group this year. His Great-Grandma Jeanne got this for him.

I am going to need to add an extra room to our house for all the TOYS this child has gotten/is getting this year. Ridiculous.

Christmas Eve 2008

Here is Grant getting ready to go to Grammy & PawPaw Caravia's.......
Chewing on an ornament.........
I am ready! Let's go!

I am ready for bedtime! Read my story!

Waiting for Santa Claus! Where is he?!!

On Christmas Eve I would say, "Where is Santa"? Grant and Scooter would go to the door and look as if he was going to walk right in. So funny.

Ya, I Celebrate Both!

My friend Megan got Grant this ADORABLE shirt that says, "I CELEBRATE BOTH". It has a menorah with a Christmas wreath hanging from it. SO CUTE!

Son of Mine

Son of god, son of mine,
How you changed this life of mine.

Every night I rock you to sleep,
And listen to your heart softly beat.

You breathe so heavy and sleep so light,
All wrapped up in your jammies so tight.

Such a good boy, son of mine,
Smile of an angel, hair blonde and fine.

I could hold you and cuddle all day long,
But as the days continue you grow so strong.

You can now pull right out of my hold,
How quickly such a little one becomes so bold.

Sometimes I want time to stop in its tracks,
Sometimes the time, I want to come back.

When you were so small and so sweet,
Little tiny toes, little tiny feet.

But as we all know time marches on,
And you continue to grow so strong.

Healthy and lively, son of mine,
Always trying to cross that line.

Ignoring the “No’s!” we continually say,
Pushing the limit is my son’s way.

With a smile and smirk you get away with a lot,
Mom & Dad laugh too, it can’t be fought.

Oh son of mine some day you’ll see,
How much in this world you mean to me.

Every decision I make I have you in mind,
Every dream you have I hope you do find.

Some day when you are older and grown,
You will understand more with a son of your own.

Grant in his PJ's playing by the front door window. There is panel window by our front door and Scooter and Grant both love to look out it.

Packages for Grant!

Grant got some shiny packages in the mail for Hanukkah from his Great-Uncle Wayne, Aunt Linda, & cousins, Howie & Becky. He was very excited them them!

Grant's Wiffle Bat

My mom and dad gave Grant a toy with a wiffle bat a while back. It is one of his favorite toys. He hits EVERYTHING with it. You can see Scooter's defense mechanism in this video. She knows what happens if she gets to close to that bat!

Our Christmas Tree

Here is our tree........
Then I put Grant & Scooter in front of it........

Then Grant tried to jump on Scooter as usual.........

Menace to Society

Grant has turned into desctructo. He throws, bangs, flings, pounds on, and pulls apart everything he comes in contact with. Most recently, I set down my cup of coffee for .08 seconds to pick up a toy on the floor. In that .08th of a second Grant grabbed the cup of coffee and threw it all over the carpet and 2 of my 4 coffee table ottoman's that are microfiber and now stained. He also smacked paul in the head with a mini-wiffle bat last night. That was funny however. The coffee/coffee table incident was NOT funny. Here is a clip of what Paul calls our "menace to society".........enjoy...........
