Grant's New Bed

Initially I was planning on doing two twin beds in Grant's new big boy room.  I found these twin navy blue beds at Pottery Barn that I LOVED.  However, after furniture shopping with Grant it tow, he fell in love with the loft style beds.  I figured you are only little once and if that is what he wants, that is what he gets.  Now I sound like his Grandparents for crying out loud!

Below is a picture of the bed.  Except I am wanting to go with more of a navy color scheme with the bedding.  The bed gets delivered on Monday.  I am wanting to go with navy walls and white trim in the room.  Now I get to do some shopping this weekend for matching comforters, sheets, and something for the window in that room.  I LOVE DECORATING!!!  Except painting; I hate painting! 

I found a couple different navy striped quilts at Pottery Barn I liked, the one I loved was discontinued -- bummer. So I am going to search the Fairview area to make sure I can't find something I like a little more.  Here is one of my top pics so far:

The dog and the child wear each other out.

Though Scooter and Grant spend more time NOT getting along than they do getting along, they still manage to have no problem crashing out snuggled on the couch.  They have a complete love/hate relationship -- Scooter loves Grant when he is sleeping & hates him when he's awake ;)

Well NOT YET, as far as I am concerned!

Grant Starts School

So my BABY will start school on February 7th, four days after he turns 3.  How did that even happen?!  Since I have had him in speech, he qualifies for the Early Education program in our school district.  So he will go for 2.5 hours a day for play based learning and speech twice a week.  Then he will go to Pre-K next year, most likely.  I am so excited for him to get to go, but feel like I could vomit because he is still so little :(

Hopefully the social aspect will be GREAT for him and really help with his speech.  I am sure Grant will be ready for his first day; I'm just not sure mom will be!!!!!
